Twenty Ten is quite a Rideeeee!

So, on this last day of two thousand and ten, I wanna look back on the highlights which made it more colorful and happy. On January, we started the year with the Enchanted Kingdom adventure. 'Twas really really fun, we just planned just a day ahead, then there was it!

Then came our summer classes (yes, it was required), enjoyed every day of it. More bonding time with my friends and became really closer this time.

Then the highly-anticipated presidential elections in the country took place, and I supported 'Noynoy" Aquino whom won the election and now the president.

This year, I also first experienced Go Kart in Tarlac. It was AWESOME! Really dreamed of stuffs like that.

We also had fun with our newly-met friends while doing some shopping at SMX. We had a nice acquaintance with each other and enjoyed the fireworks display the mall has to offer.

Then, we experienced for the first time the Digital 3D offering of Robinsons Starmills Pampanga in their cinema. We watched The Last Airbender and really had  a good time.
My bad, I have deleted our photo w/ the 3D glasses. Apologies

Second semester boomed and we had our affiliation at the Philippine Orthopedic Center (you know, nursing stuffs). On the first Saturday of our affiliation, we managed to have time watching Showtime live. The experience was so much memorable! I can't even get over it till now.
In the Showtime studio

Very lately, we really had a blast on our tripping at SM North Edsa and TriNoma. And yes, part of our "tripping" was watching Tron Legend on Imax (which I have blogged earlier this week).

And to this year that's passing, my overwhelming gratitude for the things I have had. And wishing for more blessings to the year coming. God bless everyone! Stay safe this New Year's eve.

FEED YOUR BODY

Our skin is the largest organ of our body. Like any other part, we should take a good care of it. So today, I'm gonna teach you how get that silky smooth skin (sounds like a TVC, haha). OK, I can't really remember where did I get this body scrub idea. If it's from the world-wide web or some of those TV shows I dunno, just wanted to share this with you guys. To start with, we should gather the three ingredients that we need: Oats, Honey, and Milk.

The Oats (that instant oatmeal will do) will serve as the exfoliant, will rid out that dead skin.

Honey, which has antibacterial properties, will be the cleansing ingredient.

Then, the milk will be the smoothing factor for this scrub.

How to make the scrub? Just mix 2 parts milk, 1 part honey, and 1 part oats. You can always change the ratio depending on your skin needs or to just what you prefer. This scrub will make your skin glow. Use every once or twice a week. Hey, you deserve a body treat without making your pocket cry.

Handle with Care!

Today, my lil bro and I had a movie date (lol). We watched Ang Tanging Ina Mo. We had it on the first screening, around 10:40 AM, we wanted to watch it early so we can be home at noon time and do some errands. Anyways, so the story was so good, keeps you from laughing. Aiai and Eugene's tandem was again, a hit! Perfectly thrown lines on right timings, that's why their comic jokes hit us. So the character of Aiai was the former president of the republic. She had her sons and daughters- originally there were a dozen, but only six stayed on her side. The story was about how fragile life is, how the creator can get it back, prepared or not. On the latter part of the story, Ina (Aiai's character) realized how God prepared her for her passing. And better watch for the twists of the story.

There are moments you're laughing then at one point you'll caught yourself crying. A thumbs up on how emotions turn and how the movie connects to its audience. After watching the movie something went back to my thoughts. I almost had a head injury the day before yesterday. I was bathing when I slipped, good thing I managed to guard my head with my arm. Thank you my good Lord for the life.

PS: I watched the movie with my curly hairstyle (haha, will blog about the hair on early 2011).

Style Forecast: 2011 Spring Summer Essentials

OK, over for the 2010 holiday stuffs. For the approaching 2011, comes also the essentials to our wardrobe. Let's start removing them knits and scarves and make way for the playful shirts and colorful accessories. Good thing you can still wear that boots you shed bucks on last holiday season. Also, prepare your big tote this S/S 'coz you'll be needing that - trust me.
red 50's classic sunglasses, TOPMAN

stylish patent ankle boot (P4 790), ZARA
soft shopper bag (P1 990), ZARA

Be playful for this season, be inspired from the 2011 S/S collection of SM Department Store.

It's innocuous to again, wear your short shorts from  Folded & Hung.

Remember, you ought not to be ending up with lots of colors on your body this spring summer 2011. Expect colors and khaki this season. You could also add natural hues to your palette. There's no harm in mixing and matching. Have a burst this S/S 2011!

From SKY GARDEN to SB GARDEN

So we had fun walking through the Sky Garden of SM North Edsa and the StarBucks Garden of TriNoma. Lots of good sceneries at the sky garden, giant holiday decorations, lights and water displays, abstract 3D sculpts, and many more. Nowfor the StarBucks Garden at Trinoma, good lights dazzle at night, fog machine and fountain displays will surely catch your eyes. So, we didn't waste time and took nice photos from there.

'Tron Legend' on iMAX!

Really, our original plan last Dec. 20, 2010 was to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 1 on iMax. Turns out, we were late already 'coz iMax now shows Tron Legend, which I saw the trailer a couple of days before and seemed good to me.

Yes, we watched the movie that day and we were really excited to gear up with the 3D glasses of the theater.

Plus! I had a chance to be captured with a DUCATI! Man, really solved with the experience.

We had experienced the digital 3D before, but the 3D on iMax is surreal! Incomparable to that digital 3D. It's true what other people say that you seem to be on the movie when you watch it on iMax.

KANGAROO JACK at SM North Edsa

Yesterday, before Mimi and I went to our reservation on iMax theater, we decided to have lunch at Kangaroo Jack at SM North Edsa. We were attracted to their tag that they have steaks, grills, and sizzlers.

After our orders were taken by a crew, I asked her on how many minutes will it take for our meals to be served? She said it'll just be for a while, but turns out 20 minutes of waiting. Then when it was served, the crew said that they made it even tastier (not funny).
Anyways, they have a good beef morcon made out of tenderloin. It has good tomato sauce made up of I'm not sure if it's canned or fresh tomatoes. I also love the kick every after bite. But still, we ended up rushing to the theater to make it to our reservation.

FEEL THE HOLIDAY SEASON!

As the weather gets colder, we can really feel the spirit of the holiday season. And what else we do but to SHOP! I know, all of us are starting (or may have started) their holiday shopping. And I stared for a while at the mall decoration of TriNoma. My eyes were captured by their giant colored balls and ballerinas hanging.

And I can't help but take a picture with them.

Makes the people feel positive on the happiest season of the year.

OUR SECOND FOOT!

Really, shoes are our second pair of feet. So we should choose the quality that fits for that pair that's always tired of walking. First we should consider the quality, and its appropriateness for the season. Never wear shoes made of canvass in the rainy season. Second consider the occasion, I know that we do not wear dress shoes in the gym or when playing basketball. Does any one do that? It's worse. Third, consider the brand. Of course brands that have established a good name in the industry has the best known quality for their products. Just take good care of them to make them last long. For me, i have been using my Lacoste shoes for 3 years now. Never soak them in water because some glue lose its quality when doing such. Bottom line is, if you're making out your closet now, collect shoes that has your personality and individuality.

ON TAKING A BREAK..

So this is how it feels to be active on a Sunday morning huh? I woke up early today (didn't meant to), had an early breakfast, had a walk, and read some newspaper. I did all of these because of my short vacation from my Sunday-church obligations.

I got to follow some of the blogs, w/c I share interests, today. Also, I cut some of the articles that were on my desk for a couple of months ago. I managed to start doing another folio ('coz my old one's full). Really excited to fill that with things that inspires me to go beyond boundaries.

Yeah right, I wish i had this luxurious time for myself on a fixed day of the week (Sunday perhaps), but on the first Sunday of January 2011 I'd be back on my Sunday routines.

F&H's Style Challenge

I just got home from church when I saw the Style Challenge of  Folded & Hung.

They announced that they will post an inspiration style monthly that the contestants will have their own interpretation of that style. Sounds interesting huh? For all the followers of F&H (like me) there is now a chance to show our creative side. All we have to do is to email our entries to the marketing department of F&H.

For the complete mechanics...

For their debut month, the inspiration is... COACHELLA!
Now, who's up for the challenge?

EXPECTATIONS vs. REALITY

Yey! it's the first day of the last month for this year. And after a tiring shift (or maybe not, haha), i decided to do a quite long walk. I realized the scene that struck to me in '500 Days of Summer': the scene when Tom is attending Summer's invitation.

I realized that all of us, somehow in our lives had or will have that same situation. Expectations do make us happy, but it ruins everything  whenever it is not met. It maybe an exam that you foreseen to be easy but turns out a crap, or a free ice cream from a vendor you're consistent to buy from. You see, we can't really avoid expecting, I reckon we must expect as neutral as possible so no one gets hurt. ESPECIALLY YOURSELF.
