A No-Nerd Nerdy

I'm not a nerd - no offense to those - but I really wanna try to wear a pair of Nerd Eyeglasses. I've seen a lot of them in almost all of the bargain shops and stalls everywhere. I'm just uncertain if they will purvey a laid-back look for me or a geeky one, lol.

Crying Over A Playlist

Yeah. Tonight, after a day's schooling, I turned the TV to MYX and yes it's Daily Top Ten! But I really got emotional (?) to Sarah G.'s song. 'Twas really heartfelt that made me listen to the "IMY" playlist (dedicated to a friend) in my music phone. Realizing that it's been two months since I stopped communicating to this friend. No texts, no e-mails, no IM's, no everything. And yes, guilty as charged, I miss that friend.

Anything MCDO Please?

This rainy morning, out of the blue, I felt like eating anything from Mc.Donald's. And I mean, anything. Really, this weather makes me smile, but I can smile harder if there's anything from Mcdo this day. Will go out later and promise to treat my self with Cheese Burger and McFloat or Hot Choco. Yumm!

Schedule Sickness

Really happy with the four-days-per-week routine we have now at school, but it's crazy! A day is so compressed with our concepts and subjects. Like on Mondays, we really don't have a lunch break, although the instructor told us we can bring food for lunch inside his class. With this dilemma, I decided to work on my schedule, of course with my handy dandy planner, lol.

Laughed really hard with this, haha.

Monday to Thursday - Classes (have to complete my attendance this time, lol)
Friday - Blog day! Yipee, I will bank posts for the whole coming week every Friday.
Saturday - Novel day! Will read a novel every Saturday fro the whole semester.
Sunday - Church + Refresh day. I will have to read notes discussed previously so I'm refreshed for the week ahead.

Lost at Space

I'm not a techie guy, but I'm dying to have a Samsung Galaxy Tab (for heaven's sake, there's Tab 2 already!). I reckon it will suit my on-the-go lifestyle. Its compact size makes it handy and so I can blog wherever I am. Also, it has mobile-phone capabilities that make it rise above its competitors in the market now.  Not to say it's Android-powered, so hundreds of thousands of apps are available.

Ugh! I want one. :(

Chuck Bass x Penshoppe

Yes people, Ed Westwick (a.k.a. Charles/chuck Bass) is the newest endorser of Penshoppe. This Gossip Girl actor flew to Manila, if I'm not mistaken, last June 1, 2011. It's very thrilling to know that our home-grown brands are worn/endorsed by Hollywood stars, which I think will be a great stepping stone for uplifting the Filipino brands.

How I wish I had a jaw line like his. Anyways, let's see how Chuck Bass will change the game for Penshoppe. XOXO

A Water-Proof Post

It's raining already when I woke up this morning. And when it is, my world turns to be unproductive, I transform into a lazy bug. The chilly wind breezing into my cold skin makes me wanna lay and sleep all day. Other than sleeping, here are the things I wanna do when raining:

1) Eating Champorado! Who would not love a warm chocolate porridge against the cold weather?

2) Listening to Lady Gaga's Born This Way album. Okay, no need for further explanations, lol.

3) Wearing socks and pullovers to prevent me from freezing, haha.

Disclamer: That's totally not me, lol.

4) Watching a nice feel-good movie, so I can fall asleep easily, lol. 

This one's really funny.

Don't you just love having a rainy day after all the scorching hot days? And it's tolerable to be lazy every once in a while.

Sucker for Gaga

I'm getting hooked with Lady Gaga's Born This Way album as of so late. Which I think is worse coz I've never been this obsessed on her. Before, I cannot even picture my self on liking her songs but now, I'm such a Gaga sucker! I dunno, but I reckon there's something in her album that I can relate to. Like when I repeatedly played "Hair", I almost got tears.

Business + Party, And The Things Came In Between

Yesterday, after finishing our business agenda for The Look for Less Ensembles (LLE), my business partner and I played the mall rats part. We scoured two malls in Quezon City to find a new school bag  for me and a new school shoes for him. It's just sad that while searching for the bag, my favorite sunglasses fell and broke, but I still strutted well in the malls.

I will surely miss this.

We took our hearty snacks at Cinnabon and Taco Bell that energized our dry taste buds. It's really funny how we struggle to find a cup for the self-service drinks purveyed in Taco Bell.

It's funny that I've seen all the photos we had on our "mini-photo shoot" at Metro Dorm just now. I can't help but to giggle seeing all the quirkiness Mimi and I have done. I remember some students from other schools, especially those from University of Pangasinan, gave us the what-are-these-crazy-people-doing stare. Here are those crazy shots:

Jolie for Vuitton? Yeah, you heard that right. Angelina Jolie gets the exquisite deal of becoming the new face of Louis Vuitton. And I heard that she'll be paid $10 Million for this contract, plus she gets the luxury of carrying the name of this french fashion house.

Expect Mrs. Brad Pitt in the coming ads and campaigns of Louis Vuitton.

Metro Mag x Kim Chiu x Matt Lanter

Really can't believe at first when I learned that Kim Chiu and 90210 star Matt Lanter are on Metro Magazine's June 2011 cover. My jaw dropped on this double-cover issue and more especially on the cover story pics. Kim is so elegant while Matt is such a boy-next-door on their to-die-for photos that were shot in Los Angeles, California.

Unkabogable Philippines

"Proud to be a Filipino!" easy to say, but are we really proud? You see, we often speak about our "being Filipino" whatsoever, but we're not making a stand. Wake up Pinoy! We need to wake up from our dark ego of being foreign-land-and-their-goods lovers. I know it's hard and I'm not condemning imported goods and fashion articles, but why not balance our lives with a little bit of them foreign bags and shoes with a lot our own? Buying Philippine-made products generate money, and that money helps our countrymen behind them. Money that feed their children, and therefore uplifts their way of living.

Good thing Filipinos now are not your typical "Juan dela Cruz" nor "Maria Clara". Today, we outshine in this competitive world and there's nothing to belittle anymore. I have my own list of the 'other' Filipinos we should be proud of and look up to.

1. 2010 Ford Supermodel of the World, Danica Magpantay.

2. Fashion Super Blogger, Bryan Boy. This boy wonder wowed the entire fashion industry - even the great, Marc Jacobs.

3. The Philippine Azkals. Because of them, football will never be a foreign sport to a Filipino kid.

4. Michael Cinco, a fashion designer whose works are recently featured and used in America's Next Top Model Cycle 16. He was also well applauded on 2010 Dubai Fashion Week.

5. Thia Megia. At a young age of 15, this young Pinay moved Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson and the rest of us for being the youngest contender in American Idol Season 10.

6. Furniture designer, Kenneth Cobonpue. This Cebuano changed how Hollywood celebrities live in their homes with his cutting-edge designs.

It's really overwhelming how many Filipinos astound the world now, but let's not be contented with that. Let's  pull each other up and make it to the top!

Vitamin Freak

Lately, I've been very conscious about my health. Maybe because almost all the people that sees me share the same concern, they say that I'm getting thin. Yeah right, so I decided to boost up my health by adding up some supplements to my former only-one-vitamin-per-day routine.

Counter Clockwise: Vit.C, Vit.E, Centrum, Cranberry Softgel,
Ferrous Sulfate.

Now I'm taking five supplements a day. 1.Ferrous Sulfate, for my anemia; 2.Vitamin E, for healthy skin and as an antioxidant; 3.Cranberry Tablet, for healthy urinary tract; 4.Vitamin C, to boost immune system; 5.Centrum, for all the missed tablets.
