Last Saturday & Sunday was the best of its kind for me this season so far. Together with my good friends Marvin & Carlo, we went to Araneta Coliseum with the hopes of watching the UAAP Cheerdance Competition live. And yes! We did watch it, after a couple of hours waiting for the ticket booth to open under the scorching heat of the sun. The experience was surreal, we had a blast, and enjoyed watching it live. Really, there are no words I can utter to express how it felt like in the Big Dome, hearing the crowd screaming their university cheers and that, I will treasure.
The experience was surreal. Just had the thought of needing a hearing aid after the aforesaid event, 'coz the drum beat nearly made us deaf (lol)! Anyway, after that, we got to meet Rich & Clint still in the Araneta Center, then we headed straight to Eastwood to have dinner & hangout a lil bit. But 'twas not that easy 'coz it took us almost an hour getting a cab. A lot happened there, we had dinner, drank a little, and partied a lot!
The next day, Carlo & Rich toured us to the campus of the prime catholic university here in the Philippines, University of Santo Tomas (UST). We got hyped up seeing their huge campus - and I mean huge. And in lieu with their quadricentennial (can you imagine that?) celebration, we saw a couple of "400" figures erected and distributed evenly on their campus. It felt like we were warped way way back in the past, seeing all the old yet larger-than-life structures.
Surely, this is one of those moments that will always have a small corner in my heart. Will never forget the happiness it brought me, even if that cost us a lot of ankle and hamstring pain, lol.
